Reita Glyn Wheeler August 25, 1935 - May 14, 2009 Funeral services for Reita Glyn Wheeler, 73, of Lovington will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Jackson Avenue Baptist Church with Bro. Dave Rowser officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovington cemetery. Reita passed away on May 14, 2009 in Lubbock, TX. She was born August 25, 1935 in Sundown, Texas to Fred and Edith Carter. Reita had lived in the Prairieview area for many years farming with her husband and raising their family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a loving helpmate, and a friend to all. She was an active member of Jackson Avenue Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Wheeler, of the home, 2 sons: Dickie and wife Debbie Wheeler and Larry Wheeler all of Lovington, NM, 1 daughter: Jan and husband Jerry Brian of Hobbs, NM, 1sister: Leatha Wheeler of Muleshoe, TX, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Connie Willyard, and 1 brother, Freddy Carter. Visitation will be Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm and on Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Chapel.
