Obituary of Daryl White

Daryl White August 04, 1947 - December 17, 2014 Graveside services for Daryl White, 67, of Lovington, NM will be held on Tuesday, December23, 2014 at 10:00 am at Lovington Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. Arrangements are the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. White was born in Kermit, Texas on August 4, 1947 to Julian and Margie (Bryant) White and passed away at his home on December 17, 2014. Daryl played baseball at Midland Lee before coming to Lovington and graduating from Lovington High School. He served in the United States Army and was a self-employed contract pumper. He enjoyed playing the guitar and the fiddle and singing and jamming with his friends. He loved western movies and books and baseball was his favorite sport. Daryl was a creature of habit and like things simple and had his routine for each day. He loved to talk and was a good story teller. He loved time spent with his grandchildren and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia and one sister, Connie Jeffcoat. He is survived by one son, Danny and wife Bianca White of Lovington; four daughters: Christy and husband Barry Stroup of Vian, OK; Shelly and husband Larry Mahan of Lovington; Angela Pralle of Kansas City, KS and Rebecca and husband Scotty Gandy of Lovington, NM; seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society in memory of his wife and in honor of his daughter.
