Obituary of Yolanda Coronado

Yolanda Coronado April 19, 1959 - July 24, 2015 Memorial services for Yolanda Coronado, 56, of Oklahoma, and formerly of Lovington, NM, will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Christian Church with Aaron Zapata officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Yolanda was born on April 19, 1959 in Denver City, Texas to Pete M. Coronado and Mary Olga Garza and passed away on July 24, 2015 in Oklahoma. Yolanda resided in Lovington until she was seventeen then moved to Elk City, Oklahoma where she made her home. She lived life her way, enjoyed having a gypsy soul and was a people person. She liked playing pool, dancing, and riding motorcycles and especially “Harley’s” and was happiest when she was barefoot, or if she wore shoes, she wore her beloved moccasins. Jeans or a leather skirt was her favorite apparel and would keep a smile on her face. She had a sweet heart and soul. She was preceded in death by her Father, Pete M. Coronado; five brothers: Joe Avila, Rudy, Ronnie and two, Pete Coronado’s. Surviving her are her Mother: Mary Olga Garza of Lovington, NM; one daughter: Sara and husband Zachary Archer of Edmond, OK; two sons: Travis and wife Amanda Dye of Elk City, OK and Adam Michael Coronado of Lawton, OK; one brother: Nino Coronado of Ranger, TX; Three sisters: Gracie Coronado of Lovington, NM; Mary and husband Jesse Zapata of Lovington, NM and Maggie and husband Willis Hatcher of Tatum, NM; four grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
