Blanche Muriel Woody September 09, 1918 - April 08, 2010 Funeral Services for Blanche Muriel Woody, 91, of Lovington will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 12, 2010 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 1:00 until 8:00 PM at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Mrs. Woody was born on September 9, 1918 in Oklahoma to Charles P. and Mintie Alice “Lemaster” Southern and passed away on April 8, 2010 at the Good Samaritan in Lovington, NM. She married the late Benson “Ben” Woody on December 21, 1939 in Clovis, NM. Blanche enjoyed camping, playing cards, dominoes, painting and needlepoint. She attended the 3rd & Central Church of Christ and was a member of Business and Professional Women, Chapperal Art Club, and Sandy Sams. Blanche loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons: Chauncy Woody and wife Marlyn and Kelvin Woody and wife Kathy both of Lovington, NM; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son: Murray Woody. Memorials may be made to Lovington Good Samaritan Center, 1600 W.
