Obituary of Magdalena Granado

Funeral services for Magdalena Granado, 79, of Lovington, NM were held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Jesus Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Magdalena was born on March 20, 1939 in Presidio, TX. to Jose and Trinidad Estrada and passed away in Lubbock, TX. Magdalena married Delfin Granado on October 30, 1959. She has lived in Lovington for 59 plus years. Magdalena liked to cook, watch TV especially her novelas. She took care of her grandchildren and liked visiting with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Delfin Granado and her parents: Jose and Trinidad Estrada. Surviving her is her son: Delfin Granado Jr. and wife Christye of Lubbock, TX. ; two daughters: Irma Granado of Lovington, NM and Selma Granado of Lovington, NM.; three brothers: Jesus and wife Maria Estrada of Hobbs, NM, Tony Estrada of Lovington, NM., and Ramon and wife Isabel Estrada of Hobbs, NM.; eight sisters: Maria Saldana of Hobbs, NM, Cruz Robles and husband Albert of Lovington, NM, Elidia Dominguez and husband Raul of Lovington, NM, Juanita Saenz of Lovington, NM, Enedina Hernandez and husband Moises of Lovington, NM, Chay Dominguez of Lovington, NM, Josefina Aranda and husband Aureliano of Odessa, TX., and Delma Garcia and husband Salvador of Denver City, TX.; four granddaughters: Michelle Ramirez of Lovington, NM, Crystal Ramirez of Hobbs, NM, Ashley Granado of Austin, TX., and Caitlyn Granado of Lubbock, TX. Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 11:00 am until Rosary Time at 6:00 pm. Rosary will be held at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
