Obituary of Wesley Royce Dossey

Graveside services for Wesley Royce Dossey, 61, of Tatum, NM will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lovington Cemetery with Pastor Gene Wilde III officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Wesley was born in Lovington on December 26, 1956 to Jerrell Leroy and Joyce (Rogers) Dossey and passed away in Lovington on October 9, 2018. He grew up and attended school here and worked in the oilfield for Moranco and Hondo Drilling Companies for several years. He also helped fight forest fires for the forest service when he was younger. In more recent years he worked for Kirby-Smith-Rogers doing the tent set-ups. Wesley loved music and especially enjoyed it when his family played and sang together. He liked tinkering with bicycles and loved his dog "Chubs". He had a good heart and liked visiting with people. He was very knowledgeable when he shared about his faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister: Debbie Partlow and his brother: Roger Dossey. Surviving him are two sons: Joel Dossey and Griselda Delarosa of Odessa, TX and Christopher and wife Michelle Dossey of Dallas, TX and one daughter: Brandy Dossey of Hobbs, NM; one brother: Darrell Dossey of Lovington, six grandchildren: Jeffrey, Joshua, Eliseo, Jordan, Maggie, and Joel Jr. and four great-grandchildren: Juliyan, Joshua Jr, Journey and Jhene. Also nieces, nephews and other extended family.
