Obituary of Steven Lee Duncan

Graveside services for Steven Lee Duncan 65, of Lovington, NM will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Lovington Cemetery at 3:00 pm with Pastor Jim Camp officiating. Arrangements are under the directions of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Steven was born on February 14, 1953 in Inglewood, California to Lester Leroy and Virginia Yvonne (Boyer) Duncan and passed away in Lovington, NM on November 30, 2018. Steven had lived in California until the summer of 2007 when he moved to Lovington. He had been a dairy tester and had been employed at Colusa Casino before coming here when he went to work for PB Materials as a cement truck driver. He served in the US Navy on the USS McMorris De 1036 and was also a huge advocate of our 2nd amendment and the NRA. Steven had a big heart and was there for his friends and family when they needed them. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Surviving him is his son: Wyatt and wife Tara Duncan of Lovington, NM; one daughter: Brandi and husband Daniel Williams of Santa Fe, NM; one sister: Melinda Duncan of Northern CA; five grandchildren: Marcus and Samantha Williams of Santa Fe, NM, Serina, Eric and Parker Duncan of Lovington, NM; one niece: Yvonne Estrada of Susanville, CA; and the mother of his children: Teri King of Chapparel, NM In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Victory Baptist Church, 401 W. Tyler, Lovington, NM 8260 in memory of Steven.
