Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth Collins

Memorial services for Dorothy Elizabeth Collins, 85, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Church of Hobbs with John Ayers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Dorothy was born on April 9, 1933 in Huntsville, Arkansas to Clarence and Lola (Smalley) Shade and passed away on November 30, 2018 in Hobbs, NM. She was a Homemaker. She loved to listen to music and she especially loved western music. She liked to draw, but birds were her favorite thing to draw and she did a lot of other types arts and crafts. She would make the Kleenex boxes and flower pots with the plastic and yarn and would give to her children and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Frank Collins Sr; two brothers: Norman and Calvin Shade and one sister, Edna Shade. Surviving her is her son: Frank Collins Jr. and wife Charlotte of Sundown, TX; two grandchildren: Stoney and wife Phyllisha Collins of Hobbs, NM and Stacey Collins of Hobbs, NM; six great-grandchildren: Kayla and husband Michael Pharr of Lubbock, TX, Brittney Easterwood of Snyder, TX, Katlyn Collins of Wolfforth, TX, Whittney Easterwood of Hobbs, Hope Collins of Hobbs and Riley Collins of Hobbs; two great-great-grandchildren: Owen Pharr and Jessica Pharr of Lubbock, TX.
