Obituary of Annie Mary Bishop

Graveside services for Annie Mary Bishop, 80, of Artesia, NM and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lovington Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Adams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ann was born on November 21, 1938 in Meadow, TX to Carl and Anna (Joplin) Small and passed away in Artesia on December 12, 2018. She was the epitome of a great homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her parents and took great care of them. Ann enjoyed gardening and canning the fresh vegetables that she grew for her family. She was a devout Christian and was a member of First Christian Church in Lovington, when she lived here. Reading the Bible was her passion. She liked music and was very talented playing the organ. She had lived in Lovington for many years and about ten years ago moved to Artesia to live. Her loves were God, family and home. Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands: Anthony Richard Hemmingson and Toby Bishop; three brothers and one sister. Surviving her is her son: Fred Hemmingson of Midland, TX; two daughters: Kristi and husband Vincent Mannan of Lovington and DeAnne and husband Richard Connelly of Artesia, NM; one brother: Joe and wife Gayle Small of Alamogordo, NM; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
