Obituary of Clinton Otho Houston

Funeral services for Clinton Houston, 85, of Tatum NM will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Tatum, NM with Pastor Charles Day and Wayne Brazil officiating. Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Clinton was born on May 12, 1933 in Brownfield, TX to Rudolph and Lorena (Blankenship) Houston and passed away on December 27, 2018 in Hobbs, NM. He grew up in Tatum, attending school there and graduating in 1952. Clinton enjoyed working, especially with his cattle. He liked to play dominoes and cards but doing activities with his family was the greatest enjoyment. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ruben Houston and Johnny Wayne Houston; three sisters: Nola Leach, Claudia Bar, and Trela Cannon. Surviving him is his wife, Beverta Houston of the home; one son: Steve and wife Lisa Houston of Tatum; two daughters: Celia Houston of Midland, TX and Sandra and husband Trey White of Carlsbad, NM; one sister: Patsy Fulton of Oklahoma; four grandchildren: Melanie Fore, Ray Houston, Rob White and Trent White; one great-grandson: Daniel Lane; two great-great-grandchildren: Sutton Lane and Bootsie Bell Lane and numerous step-grand-children
