Obituary of Guadalupe H Hernandez

Funeral services for Guadalupe Hernandez, 75, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Jesus Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ms. Hernandez was born on February 14, 1944 in Ojinaga, Mexico and passed away on February 28, 2019 in Lovington, NM. Guadalupe grew up in Mexico and then lived in Odessa before coming to Lovington where she has resided for forty five plus years. She liked being at home and loved to cook; listen to music and go shopping. She was a great mom and supported her kids in their sports events and loved them with "tough love". Her grandchildren were pure joy in her life and she spoiled them whenever she could. Preceding her in death were two sons: Armando Herrera and Eric Hernandez and one grandson: Sebastian Burciaga. Surviving her are two daughters: Lizette Hernandez of Lovington, NM and Liliana and husband Jr. Palomares of Hobbs, NM; one sister: Beatrice Gonzalez of Hatch, NM and six grandchildren: Jerricah Hernandez, Kaleb Depew, Delilah Gauna, Elyan Carrasco, Eric Aguilar and Khloe Aguilar. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 1:00 pm until Rosary time at 6:00 pm at the funeral chapel.
