Funeral services for Linda Faye Jones, 64, of Lovington, NM will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 9:30 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Bro. Matt Thackerson officiating. Linda was born on August 26, 1954 in Hobbs, NM to James H. Jones Sr. and Evelyn Irene (King) Jones and passed away on March 9, 2019 in Lubbock, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Linda has lived in Lovington for many years and taught at Ben Alexander and she loved the children that she taught. She not only taught education but taught life skills to them. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and she loved God and children and her dog,"Kilroy". She also loved Hobbs Football and basketball. She had a great sense of humor and was a people person, an outstanding teacher who loved her family and friends. She and her sister Candy were very close. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Candy Jones. She was survived by one brother: James H. Jr and wife Rosa Jones of McKinney, TX; niece: Michelle and husband Patrick Moreland of McKinney, TX.; nephew: Michael and wife Emily of Houston, TX; three grandchildren: Kinley Jones, Brody Jones, and Shephard Moreland. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm.
