Obituary of Leslie Graydon Caudill Jr.

Leslie Graydon (L.G.) Caudill, Jr., 83, went peacefully in the early morning of Sunday, March 31, 2019 to be with his Lord and Savior. L.G. was born June 13, 1935 in Lovington, NM to Graydon and Mildred Caudill. He graduated from Lovington High School in 1953 where he was active in Wildcat track, basketball, football, baseball, intramural basketball, movie operating, band, and Wildcat Tales. L.G. attended Durango Junior College where he played basketball and football for two years on a scholarship. He soon married the love of his life Ethel Stowers in 1955. L.G. pursued his dream of being a farmer and rancher, while working as a field supervisor for Warren Petroleum for over 30 years. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lovington for sixty-eight years and became a faithful servant of the Lord. He spent many years in the prison ministry and expanded his works into Kairos at Lamesa, TX and Hobbs, NM. L.G.'s greatest pleasures were serving the Lord and sharing the true love of Jesus with others. He is survived by his loving wife Ethel and daughter Lesly Jameson of Lovington, son-in-law James Fort of Madill, OK; his five grandchildren, Kenda Fort of Aspen, CO, Bradley Jameson and wife Rana of Lovington, Kellen Fort and wife Bahie of Aledo, TX, Jesika Vuicich and husband Chase of Lovington, and Jacob Jameson of Lovington; six great-grandchildren Jase and Jathan Vuicich, Jax and Jett Jameson, and Blake and Isla Fort; his nieces Angie Ballard and husband Skeeter of Hico, TX and Gayla Cowart and husband Curtis of Carlsbad, NM; and his brothers Dale Caudill and wife Patti of Austin, TX and Roland Caudill and wife Kathy of Carlsbad, NM. L.G. was proceeded in death by his parents, Graydon and Mildred, daughters Sabrina Kim Caudill and Sandra Fort, and son-in-law Thomas Kent Jameson.
