Casual talks and profound perspective.
A conversation with Jim Franks usually began with sipping Folgers at his kitchen table. While sitting at that table you will not get past his famous first question with vague answers. “How is the family?” He was not prying or being nosey but was sincere in that opening question because he truly cared to hear about you and your family. After you answered that question the conversation generally led to solid life advice you didn’t even know you needed to hear. His “two cents” were blunt, simplified, and meaningful. I often left that table with a different perspective of what really matters in life when it comes to family. You can’t turn down free counseling and coffee!
Once he said, “Now, let’s get another cup and talk business” the conversation usually went on to our projects, shooting, reloading, minor political views, and “what this world really needs”. All of these meaningful topics were accompanied by solid advice, but his question about family and the perspective he offered is what was taken to heart during each visit.
I am blessed for knowing Jim and thankful for the conversations I didn’t know I needed.

In my childhood days, spent many nights in the franks home, ate several meals, and got hair cuts from mr franks. Jimmy came from a very gracious and religious home. Very blissed to have known jimmy and family. Rsp Buddy maxell
