I work for the West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring, Texas as an Advanced Medical Support Assistant in Community Care. My honor is to serve veterans and assist them with scheduling of appointments.
My first contact with Mr. Vigil was on 07/28/2023 to discuss getting him care at a local hospital near him.
My telephone conversation with him was very pleasant. He was not feeling well, but his positivity and warmth exuded through that conversation. He truly made me smile.
To hear of his passing was really sad.

Gus, we met as classmates in 1954 at Espanola High School and remained very good friends for the rest of our lives sharing so many memories of our high school days and our many class reunions. We know you are now in the Lord's arms. pain and illness free with your special smile restored. We will miss you.
