Watch the Tribute Jamie Eshenbaugh May 13, 1928 - June 06, 2011 Jamie R. Eshenbaugh Funeral services for Jamie R. Eshenbaugh, 83, of Lovington, will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Vergil Ichtertz officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ms. Jamie was born on May 13, 1928 in Lafayette County, Arkansas to James Russell and Minnie Alice (Park) Roton and passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Nor-Lea Hospital. Jamie was an awesome lady. She moved to Lovington in late 1949 with her wonderful smile and sense of humor and made her home and a vast amount of friends here. She married Russell Eshenbaugh on December 23, 1967 in Lovington. Jamie retired from the USDA Farmer’s Home Administration Office after many years of service and enjoyed traveling, walking, her swimming group and people. She was a member of the Jubilee Choir and served with the jailhouse ministry for women. She was a very active member of FUMC, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and was unequaled as a prayer warrior and a Bible scholar. She was the epitomy of a loving wife and Mother and a virtuous woman with a price far above rubies. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters: Marie Chastain and Nellie Robinson and one brother, Robert Roton. She is survived by three daughters: Rebecca and husband Dan Leimon of Harlingen, TX; Charlotte Jennison of Lovington, NM and Peggy and husband Dave Sloan of Garland, TX; one sister: Pat and husband Ed Bowley of Coral Ridge, Florida; her sister-in-law, Geneva Roton of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and five grandchildren: Bryan Enloe, Amanda & husband Richard Mogg, Blake Jennison, Landon and wife Jennifer Sloan and Alex and wife Lindsay Scott and four great-grandchildren: Orin Enloe, Mylah and Sydney Mogg and Taylor Scott and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make donations to First United Methodist Church, General Fund, PO Box 745, Lovington, NM 88260. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8th from 8:30 am until 8:00
