Obituary of Phylis Dorisene Sooter

Services for Phylis (Susie) Dorisene Sooter, 72, of Tatum, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Tatum, New Mexico. Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Susie was born on January 4, 1952 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Raymond and Norma (McLain) Raines and passed away on November 24, 2024 at her residence. Susie loved working at the Sheriff's office she was a dispatcher for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her kids especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Raymond Raines; and two sisters: Jackie Taliaferro and Janette Hayes. She is survived by two sons: Gene Sooter and wife Erma, Darren Sooter and wife Kelsey; one daughter: Lacey Sooter; eleven grandchildren: Isaiah, Anthony, Adriana, Andrew, Kayden, Faith, Matt, Jessica, Daniel, Angel, and JoAnna; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren.
