Our sympathy to the Ancell Family. My wife Rebekah (Hobbs) Olivarez and I graduated in 1959, and I knew Jerry well. Every time I thought about him through the years, in my minds-eye, he was always smiling. That's the way he always was in High School. My he now be smiling that same smile with our Lord our Savior.

What a great guy and friend. We went on so many fishing trips together and so many times when I caught the first fish his first response was "Ya Puke" which was from a great Comedy CD by Cheech and Chong. We went to ballgames together and worked at 1st Methodist together with MYF and FCA. Always had this great dry sense of humor and when I was Coaching always reminded me we had only 3 offensive plays just like Reverend Chappell had only 3 sermons. Wish I could make the service but it should be a celebration of a life well lived and of a Man who I call friend. Good Bye Jerry and save some fish for me for when I get to join you someday.

My deepest sympathy to all of you!
I had known Jerry for so many years and I always enjoyed baseball season when he would come in to our office, especially if my team, Texas Rangers, had beaten the Yankees! We would sort of banter back and forth about the next time. It was always fun to kid with Jerry! We will be missing a great guy! My love goes out to all of you! Jeani Crain

What a shock I had Saturday. I did not know that Jerry had been dealing with brain cancer. No doubt about it, Jerry was my best friend from Little League days on until life moved us in different directions in 1964. Please know that Jerry's family is in my prayers. I pray for God to supply His comfort and peace during these days.

You are in our hearts during this trying time. My God lay his loving hands on you. Jerry is gone from this life but as the pastor said at mom's funeral last month - "We don't need to say goodbye just see you later." We know where Jerry is at and you will see him again.
Love you cuz.
