I do know how hard this is and has been for sometime. There are no words that help but know that many people loved and cared about your mother. You all have been a special family for Lovington and Lea County.
If I can do anything for you, please do not hesitate to call.
Love,
La Jean

I had the privilege of being a student of Mrs. Caldwell at Lea Elementary. She introduced me to music and left a life-long love of singing that I am passing on to my own son. Please know that she touched many students over the years in a meaningful and profound way with her love of both music and the students she taught. She was a treasure to Lovington and all who knew her.

Mrs. Caldwell was so significant in my life! She was my first music teacher, my church choir director, and a wonderful lady. When I began my career as a music teacher, I drew very heavily upon the example she left--and I know I often fell short of her sterling career. My kids tease me about knowing a song for every occasion; Irma Lee Caldwell taught me most of them! What a wonderful legacy, and what a wonderful woman. I will always remember her with gratitude and love.
