Obituary of M. Gene Villers

M. Gene Villers October 13, 1921 - April 25, 2010 Graveside services for M. Gene Villers, 88, of Abilene, TX, formerly of Lovington, NM, will be held April 28, 2010 at 2:30 pm at the Lovington Cemetery with Rev. Vergil Ichtertz officiating. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Gene was born October 13, 1921, in Lovington, to Cecil and Myrtle Kindel and passed away on April 25, 2010 in Abilene, TX. She married Les Villers on July 14, 1940. They were married sixty-six years until his death in 2007. She had a life-long interest in music. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lovington. Gene enjoyed her career at Elliott-Waldron Abstract Co., trailer traveling, and her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Carlton and wife Sally Villers of Abilene, TX; Garnet and wife Nancy Villers of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 407 North Main, Lovington, NM 88260.
